Audre Lorde was an American writer, professor, philosopher, intersectional feminist, poet and civil rights activist, and described herself as a “Black, lesbian, feminist, socialist, mother, warrior, poet”.

Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani female education activist. In October 2012 and at the age of 15 she was shot in the head by a man on her way home from school, a targeted attack as a result of her speaking out publicly against the Taliban’s ban of girls going to school.
